UNITY, N.H. (AP) -- A biomass plant planned in New Hampshire's Sullivan County is nearing completion and could be started up by the end of October.
Facilities and operations director John Cressy told county commissioners on Monday that the firm handling the construction is focusing the last few weeks of its work inside the building.
The Eagle-Times reports (http://bit.ly/14CAG6z) a new drilled water well at the complex is also nearing completion. The goal is to have the well operational before cold weather arrives this winter. It would serve as a backup water supply if needed in the future.
