LYNDON CENTER -- Jason Gray turned in an outstanding all-around performance as Lyndon defeated New England 91-71 Saturday at Stannard Gymnasium.
The women's team also won, giving LSC its first weekend sweep of the season.
Gray had 14 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots and three assists as the Hornets improved to 9-9 overall and 8-4 in the North Atlantic Conference.
LSC had a 47-33 halftime lead behind 11 points from freshman guard Devon Rollins, who took full advantage of the first start of his collegiate career. Lyndon continued to build on its lead in the second half and send the Pilgrims on to their ninth NAC loss of the season.
Rollins finished the contest with 13 points and Devyn Baranauskas chipped in a game-high 16. David Johnson added 14 points off the bench while George Carle and David Lorden tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively. Jose Fortunato handed out seven assists for the winners and Carle grabbed six rebounds.
LSC 69, NEC 52: New England raised its record to 14-4 (9-2 NAC) with this Saturday win.
