ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Bail has been set at $100,000 cash for a Vermont fugitive arrested in New Hampshire following a high-speed chase.
An arrest warrant was issued for 36-year-old Reuben Adams in Vermont in July on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, gross and negligent operation and felony possession of heroin.
Federal marshals say during an attempted arrest in Vermont, Adams is accused of dragging a police officer down the road with his vehicle.
Authorities arrested him in Rochester, N.H., on Wednesday after a chase in the city in which Adams abandoned his vehicle and fled. Officers followed his footprints to a garage where they found him.
It wasn't immediately known if Adams had a lawyer. He's scheduled for probable cause and extradition hearings on Dec. 20.
