WESTMINSTER, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police say they have arrested two men on charges of heroin possession after making a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Westminster.

Police say they pulled over a vehicle for defective equipment on Monday and searching it and the driver, they found 100 bags of heroin or about 3 grams and a small amount of marijuana.

Police say 28-year-old James Jackson of Windsor and 25-year-old Justin French of Fairlee were being held on $50,000 bail.

It was not immediately known the two men are being represented by attorneys.
