KILLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Police have arrested a Vermont man accused of taking ham and bison meat from the Killington Grand Resort Hotel kitchen, then kicking at police.
Police say 24-year-old Jeff Wood of Castleton was intoxicated and refused to leave the property after he was detected by security early Thursday. Police said he became combative with state police, kicking at them and attempting to headbutt them.
Missing from the kitchen was two legs of ham and 7 pounds of bison meat.
Wood was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, and other charges. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
