NH man pleads not guilty to Facebook police threat
Associated Press

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has pleaded not guilty to threatening Hanover police officers and their children through a Facebook post.

Twenty-nine-year-old David Barr of Etna was arrested Wednesday. The Valley News reports (http://bit.ly/1dd6qPp) the Facebook post told police to stop hacking his account and "watch your back." It added, "make sure you say goodbye to your kids when you drop them off at school."

Barr's bail was set at $30,000 Thursday. Criminal threatening, a misdemeanor, carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison, two years of supervised probation and a $2,000 fine.

Barr was convicted of a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence on Monday. Prosecutor Christopher O'Connor said after the arraignment police believe the Facebook threat stems from the DWI arrest.
