BRANDON, Vt. (AP) -- A Vermont man has been arrested on a charge of arson in connection with a fire at his home in the town of Brandon.
Firefighters responded to the fire on the first and second floors of the home on Monday. They said it was the second fire at the home in 24 hours; there had been a small fire in the basement on Sunday.
Investigators determined the second fire was intentionally set and wasn't related to the basement fire.
They later arrested 33-year-old Ethan McArdle on charges of arson and reckless endangerment. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
