DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- The former director of basketball operations at the University of New Hampshire accused of secretly taking photos of players in a locker room has received a suspended sentence.
Scott Weitzell of Newmarket, had been accused of taking the photos during a Jan. 20 UNH game hosted at the University of Vermont.
The 50-year-old Weitzell was suspended from his position in February and was later fired.
Foster's Daily Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/1jgbiNr) he recently pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He received a suspended 180-day jail sentence. Prosecutors also agreed to drop Weitzell's felony charge of falsifying evidence as part of a plea deal.
