MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) -- A Vermont organization is getting $250,000 in Affordable Care Act funding to establish or expand behavioral health services for 461 people.
The Community Health Center of Burlington is receiving the funding.
Nationally, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $54.6 million in Affordable Care Act funding to support 221 health centers in 47 states and Puerto Rico to support behavioral health services.
The department says in Vermont, 12 health centers operate more than 68 service delivery sites that provide care to over 130,659 patients. In 2013, Vermont health centers saw over 8,324 behavioral health patients.
