PITTSFIELD, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire pizza-making company that was destroyed in a fire is rebuilding a bigger production facility in its original spot.
Rustic Crust, which makes all-natural and gluten-free pizza crusts, frozen pizzas and sauce, was hit by a fire on March 6 at its 16,000 square-foot production facility in Pittsfield. No one was hurt.
Company officials were joined by Gov. Maggie Hassan for a groundbreaking Thursday for the new, 27,000 square-foot facility. It's expected to be completed and operating later this fall.
The event included the presentation of the first Rustic Crust First Responders Recognition Award to the New Hampshire Police, Fire & EMS Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial aid and assistance to first responders in need.
