Time Out Tavern In Canaan Hosts Art Class
An art class at the Time Out Tavern in Canaan shows off their work on July 23. The instructor was Connecticut River Artisan Group (CRAG) member Pat Klinefelter. North Country Chamber Players Entertain Littleton Food Co-op
Jillian Reed and Allen Blustine of the North Country Chamber Players performed a series of flute/clarinet duets for shoppers at the Littleton Food Co-op on Thursday afternoon. Reed is the recipient of the Kramer Fellowship for the North Country Chamber Player's 2015 White Mountains Music Festival. In addition to performing at outreach programs at the Copper Cannon Camp and local libraries, she will be appearing at festival concerts on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Sugar Hill Meetinghouse and Sunday, Aug. 2 at the Mountain View Grand.

The Vermont Children's Theater presents Fiddler on the Roof
The Vermont Children's Theater in Lyndonville will be presenting Fiddler on the Roof as the final production this summer. Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
