WHAG Photo Contest Winners
Winners have been announced in the Wooden Horse Arts Guild's Photo Fun 2014 contest. The contest was open to young photographers in grades 5 to 12 throughout the state of Vermont and entries were received from 23 students from 16 towns.

Martha Graham Exhibit At Catamount
A recently discovered trove of 40 photographs of the iconic modern dance legend Martha Graham is on display at Catamount Arts through the end of the month. Captured by photographer Robert Fraser at at the Guild Theater in New York City on December 19, 1937, the photographs had been lost in the thousands of negatives comprising his collection. Marianne Handy Hraibi, dance instructor at St. Johnsbury Academy, was approached by Robert Fraser's son Douglas, and recognized the value of the images, which have since been added to the Martha Graham Foundation archives. The collection was framed by Academy arts department chair Rosie Prevost. The Martha Graham Dance Company will perform in Burlington on Friday, November 21.

Calling all area talent - Christmas in Bethlehem is seeking talented locals age 8+ for the new entertainment show that is the centerpiece of the area's free community celebration to be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. outdoors at the Bethlehem Town Hall (indoors if inclement weather). Looking for individuals and groups who can perform outdoors, have material suitable to a holiday themed show and who either play hand held acoustical instruments, and/or are singers who can accompany themselves or sing a capella (unaccompanied). Lyndon's Adventure Film Series Continues with The Asgard Project
Lyndon State College Adventure Films series continues with the Wednesday, Nov. 19 presentation of "The Asgard Project." The 2010 film, from Posing Productions, has won 22 international awards. The Asgard Project follows the U.K.'s Leo Houlding's ambitious project in August 2009 to make a first free ascent on the North Tower of Mount Asgard. The mountain is deep in the Arctic - in the Auyuittuq National Park, on the Cumberland Peninsula of Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada.
