Comic Con Offers Toy Designers A Chance To Go Wild
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- When it comes to designing the highly coveted collectible toys for sale at Comic-Con, the annual celebration of pop culture lifting off Thursday in San Diego, the sky's the limit for the designers at Mattel. Fittingly, the building where Mattel's dreamers conceive of their limited-edition playthings is just down the street from the Los Angeles International Airport.

Vermont Family Theatre Holding Musical Comedy Camp
Vermont Family Theatre heads to Orleans Municipal Building in Orleans, for Musical Comedy Camp, Aug. 4 through Aug. 8. This camp is for boys and girls ages 5 and up with some stage experience in either dance or with a theatre group. Fast pace and energetic, this camp is great for the camper who loves to perform. Bernard Rose Performs Haydn, Mussorgsky In Bethlehem
Concert pianist Bernard Rose will perform at Bethlehem Hebrew Congregation at 5 p.m., July 25 in the second of the Sounds in the Sanctuary series. He will play two favorites, Joseph Haydn's "Piano Sonata in E flat Major No. 62, Hob. XVI: 52" and Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition."
