Craig Pursley Exhibit At 42 Maple
Angel Larcom co-curator and Phil Reeder, owner of 42 Maple in Bethlehem, flank a painting by Craig Pursley that's on exhibit in the gallery during January. Local students recently visited the exhibit and wrote stories inspired by the paintings depicting various scenarios. There is also a special space for students to learn about procedures involved in exhibiting in a gallery. The space, Lost Dog Salon, was named in honor of famous pop artist, George Manupelli, a town resident who died a few months ago.

A Night Of Fiddle Music Coming To Tillotson Center

Catamount Arts Receives Jane's Trust Award Grant
St. Johnsbury -- Catamount Arts, in partnership with Community Engagement Lab, has received a $50,000 grant from the Jane's Trust to support the Vermont Creative Schools Initiative (CSI). The Vermont Creative Schools Initiative builds school/community partnerships that integrate creative projects into the K-12 core curriculum to better prepare Vermont's youth for post-secondary success. While the VCSI's consortium of schools and community groups currently serves Rutland, Orange and Washington, the funding from Jane's Trust will allow the expansion of the initiative into the Northeast Kingdom, serving 30 teachers and 15 teaching artists, and impacting 3,000 students.
