LYNDON CENTER -- Lyndon Institute athletic director Paul Wheeler was named President of the Vermont State Athletic Director's Association (VSADA). The appointment was announced at the final meeting of the VSADA held in Randolph on Monday. Wheeler has served as the Association's vice president for the past two years. His term as president will also be for two years.

She's turned in many great performances over the last three years as a key part of the Profile Patriots softball teams, but last week may have been one of the best ever for Katelyn Austin. Noted for her pitching, the senior held up that end of things, but also proved her prowess at the plate with a devastating two-game spree May 6-7.

Male Athlete of the Week: Lyndon Institute's Cooper Arsenault
It's no accident how Cooper Arsenault has played so far this spring for the Lyndon Institute golf team. The sophomore has won all five matches he's competed in, including a 1-under-par 35 last Wednesday at the Country Club of Vermont. Playing in a competitive field in windy conditions and sporadic rain, he beat out Harwood's Erik Bertalan by one stroke for medalist.
