Groveton's Talia Bedell had a strong first two rounds of the N.H. girls basketball Division IV tournament. Bedell scored 10 points against Pittsburg-Canaan in the first round and followed that up with another double-digit performance as she scored 12 against Pittsfield to help the Eagles advance to the state semifinals.
"I thought it was a very good season for us. We were hurt without Makenna [Burke] at first, but the rest of us had been playing together since second grade," Bedell said. "We started working better with Abby [Pelletier] and I thought we had a good season even though it didn't end the way we wanted."
Groveton lost to Sunapee, 49-39, in the semis on Monday.
"It's always our goal to get to Plymouth, but this year things didn't work out," Bedell said. "I still think we had a really good season."
