Gary Moore: Pittsburg's Magalloway Mountain Panorama
Magalloway Mountain is only 3,383 feet in elevation but the views from its fire tower and the eastern lookout are some of the best in the north county. The mountain is in the middle of the big woods of the northernmost town in New Hampshire, not far from the Maine border.

Those who want panoramic views of the Northeast Kingdom but don't have all day should hike Wheeler Mountain. Located in Sutton, the 2,371 peak provides wonderful views of Lake Willoughby to the east, Wheeler Pond nestled in the woods below and the Green Mountains, including Jay Peak, to the west. Round trip is only 2.5 miles.

Linda and I joined a family of five from Colorado Springs for a tour a week ago and it was a very enjoyable and educational experience thanks to the effort of van driver and guide Tim Corrigan.
