Editorial: Shumlin Doubles Down on Stupid
On Wednesday Peter Shumlin told Vermonters that he needs Jonathan Gruber's work to sell a single-payer health care system to Vermonters even though the Governor thinks it's "reprehensible and outright shocking" that the MIT economist repeatedly attributed passage of ObamaCare to lack of transparency and the stupidity of Americans.

Editorial: Get Giving
During the Great Depression in the 1930s the St. Johnsbury Fire Department founded The Northeast Kingdom Santa Fund to help struggling families and their children. On Monday the St. Johnsbury Select Board announced that it would conduct its search for a new town manager completely in secret. According to Alan Ruggles, it's necessary to protect the identities of applicants because "anybody who is applying is applying in a confidential way."

Editorial: You're Just Too Stupid
Jonathan Gruber, a professor of economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was a leading architect of ObamaCare and a key White House advisor. Tomorrow New Hampshire voters will choose either Scott Brown (R) or Jeanne Shaheen (D) for the United States Senate. Throughout campaign season, Senator Shaheen has had a single theme -- Brown is a carpetbagger. As such, she says, the former Mass. Senator is unworthy to represent the Granite State.
