Cynthia Hale (Clough)
Cinnie Hale Clough of St. Johnsbury passed away unexpectedly at home Monday evening, Dec. 24, 2012, at the age of 74.
She was born in Brandon, Vt., on Aug. 29, 1938, the oldest of five children born to Elphage and Shirley (Badger) Labounty.
She is survived by her former husband and lifetime partner Dennis who was always there for her; three of her five sons: Ricky Hale and partner Michael of St. Johnsbury, Dean Hale of St. Johnsbury, and John Hale of St. Albans; 10 grandchildren and nine (Â½!) great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law: Vicky Hale of New York state, Lisa Bijolle of Waterford, and Lynn Hartford of Littleton, N.H.; and by her four brothers: Aimee, Meril, Dwayne, and Elphage (known as 'Buddy') Labounty all of the St. Johnsbury area; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Steven last year, and by son Bruce and son-in-law Gill Foley both just this past year. Her former husband Richard W. Hale predeceased her in the mid 1970's.
Cinnie may be remembered for working at the jewelry department at both Ames and Zayre's. She had previously been employed at Fairbanks and Montgomery Ward. Her biggest joy was spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandkids.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home this Friday evening, Dec. 28 from 6-8PM.
