Lawrence LaPierre, 66 of Greensboro, Vt., went to meet his Lord Jan. 19, 2013, at North Country Hospital in Newport.
He was born in Burlington, Jan. 25, 1946, the son of Arlton and Marjorie LaPierre. He grew up in Greensboro, attending St. Jay Trade School after graduation. He married Melodyann Fellows of Groton in August 1991 having 7,815 perfect and joyful days together.
Larry was a talented finish carpenter. He worked on many camps around beautiful Caspian Lake. He donated his skills of working with wood to churches and many people.
He is survived by his wife Melodyann of Greensboro. By a brother Ernest (Jake) of Morrisville, a sister Rachel of Hardwick, his children, Danielle, Michael and his wife Virginia of Greensboro Bend, Dominique LaRose of New Haven, Conn., Denise Savoie and husband Henry of Virginia, David LaRose Jr. of Maryland, Dustyn and Douglas of St. Albans. Also surviving are 22 grand children. He was predeceased by one grand child. Larry loved his children equally.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 11 a.m. at Touch of Grace in Hardwick. Interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of des Groseilliers Funeral Homes Church Street, Hardwick.
